How to get Madeira Islands by sea

Madeira has a diverse cruises that passes by. Coming from Europe, crossing Atlantic Ocean, from Mediterranean to Canárias and many more. They always want to look at least once in their life time our island and its wonders.

The number of cruise-ships that comes to port of Funchal, the capital of Madeira, has increased the last few years. These ships are on their way to the Caribbean and the Mediterranean …. but why, for heaven sake, do they stop at Madeira? Who knows!!! :)

Example of cruises are: MSC Dinina coming from Italy and Spain; Norwegian Spirit from Spain; Queen Victoria and Queen Mary 2; Holland America Line; Costa Fascinosa; Crystal Serenity, from Crystal Cruises; Braemar, from Fred Olsen; NCL; Costa Mediterranea, from Costa; and many more!

We have also a daily cruise from Madeira to Porto Santo from Porto Santo Line that leaves by morning and come back at evening. The lenght is about 2:15 hours one way. The ship has place for 1150 passangers and 145 cars with some services on board such as TV room, cinema, restaurant, bars, playing room, etc.

Have a really nice trip to our Paradise :D
